About
About Me
I am a 56 yr old disabled female who have worked since I was 13 years old, I worked at a neighborhood drugstore after school. My mother was a woman that had so many talents and interest and whatever she did at home I always watched her. She was a part-time seamtress/cook and I use to watch her make wedding dresses, etc.
She died five days before my 15th birthday and I always remembered the things I learned from watching her (cooking, cleaning, maintaining things.
When I got older I had jobs such as a seamtress, presser, home health and I worked for a cleaning service. I went to business college; I had jobs such as a secretary, data entry operator, computer operator.
I got hurt on the job; I was bitten by a poisonuous spider and couldn't work and I asked the Lord to give me something I could do to make a better living. This is when all the craft ideas started, I didn't know I could do so many things. I started out decorating wastebaskets, decorative towel sets, hats and brooms for your wall, flower arrangements; then I starting doing resumes, invitations, flyers, programs, manuscripts, menus and business cards.
Then I started making fake cakes, dressing dolls (dolls on a stand), making jewelry out of copper, brass, sterling silver and gold wire. Now I am doing the beaded art. The Lord always make a way.
